‘Ello, poppets!
Welcome to [L.I.]ve from London! Whether you found me by word of mouth, by the URL I may or may not have pushed in your face, or by a typo in that mind-reading Google search engine, I’m glad you’re here!
I’m Megan, and I’m a junior at Fordham University at Rose Hill. I’m a Communications/Media Studies major, as well as a Marketing minor, and am spending the Fall 2011 semester of my junior year studying abroad in London! Through Boston University’s London Internship Program, I’ll not only have the opportunity to take classes abroad, but also to have an internship and gain real experience in the London work environment.
If you caught on to the fabulous wittiness of my blog’s name, you probably guessed already that I’m a Long Island, NY native. And I love every minute of it! The diversity of our seasons, from the beautiful beaches to winter sports; the proximity to Manhattan (my Emerald City); and of course the great accents. Repeat after me: “Lawn-Guy-Land.” You see? You’d fit right in.
As much as I love New York, and especially L.I., I knew there was so much more out there to see and experience! Over the past few years I’ve really been awakened to how short life truly is, and I’m making every effort to experience as much of it as I can. Hence, London! Until I hop across the pond back to L.I. in December, the United Kingdom is my island now. Ready or not, here I come…
So grab a cup of tea (and maybe a biscuit or two), and stay awhile! I think we’re going to have a grand time.
